Dave was Joyce Easton's husband, with whom he had two college-aged daughters.
Background[]
Dave worked as a miner until 2076, when he was laid off. The following year, with Joyce also set to lose her job at the Whitespring Resort to automation, their financial status became dire.[1] They considered taking out another mortgage on their house just to ensure they could pay for their daughters' tuitions, and so that their family could at least survive until Christmas.[2]
Dave was out of town visiting his daughters for their homecoming weekend when the bombs fell.[3] Joyce, who survived the war at the Whitespring Resort, recorded a holotape for him in case he survived.[4]
