The Cranberry Glade, or Cranberry Glades, was a location in the Cranberry Bog region of Appalachia.

With the Once in a Blue Moon update, this location was revamped and renamed for the Cult of the Mothman, becoming known as the Sacramental Glade.

Background[]

This small glade is one of the few corners of the bog that were spared from the bulldozers and clear cutters of the corporations busy turning the former state park into another piece of urbanized blight.[Non-game 1]

Layout[]

The glade is a large forested stretch of land, bounded on the west by an access road leading to a parking lot with a cooking station. The wooded paths lead through the cranberry-plant covered glade where one can access two collectible spawn points on the eastern side of the forest. Mutated ferns and gravel dot the landscape, and a mirelurk queen will always be found submerged in the water.

Notable loot[]

  • Potential Vault-Tec bobblehead - In the far eastern corner of the location, on the corner of the decking with the duffle bag.
  • Potential magazine - In the southeast corner of the glade, at the eastern end of one of the walkways, on a thin wooden bench.
  • Potential recipe - Near the cooking station and the portable toilets on a picnic table.

Appearances[]

Cranberry Glade appeared only in Fallout 76. It was replaced with the Sacramental Glade with the Once in a Blue Moon update.

Behind the scenes[]

Cranberry Glade is based on the real world location of the same name, part of the Monongahela National Forest in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia.

Bugs[]

PCPC Playstation 4Playstation 4 Discovering the Cranberry Glade would not register in its listing for the challenge "Discover locales within the Cranberry Bog." This was later patched.[patched]

"This natural glade of boggy ground where cranberries still grow is now lightly irradiated. Find a small gravel pit and cooking area in the parking lot, and seek out a stranded musicians' coach if you can find it in the mist."
