Craig Boone is a follower living in the Mojave Wasteland in 2281. He prefers sniper rifles.
Background
Born in 2255, Boone is a town guard and former NCR sharpshooter, bitterly whittling away the hours until he can find out who's responsible for the death of his wife, Carla, and kill them. Hardened and psychologically troubled from his time in the NCR military, Boone vacillates between being a stone-cold killer and a decent human being. Venturing out from the relative safety of Novac brings Boone into close contact with his old life until he is forced to deal with the tragic events that caused him to leave the military.

Related quests
Craig can be a follower for the Courier, only if the Courier chooses to help him get revenge on the people responsible for his wife's kidnapping. Upon meeting Boone, he tells you about how his wife was kidnapped by Caesar's Legion, alongside three other people who were taken as well. Suspecting an inside job, he gives you a red beret to wear when you are walking out with the criminal. By completing a side quest for Boone, he will upgrade his armor to New California Ranger armor.
As one of NCR's men, he'll shoot you if you're with the Legion. If your rep with the NCR is hated he wil not talk to you
As a follower, Boone serves as the combat every-man; he's great with Guns and provides the Spotter perk.
