Conway performed work on several Protectrons at the largest truck stop in Appalachia, along with coworkers Byers and McLean. During a routine inspection, it was found that the Red Rocket core inside one of the robots had become corroded, and Conway ordered a new one on October 1, 2077. Three days later, the core arrived and after a firmware update, the robot was as good as new.[1][2]
