“Machines that sort! Machines that build! Machines that combine! With Fallout 4 Contraptions, use conveyer belts, scaffolding kits, track kits, even logic gates to construct crazy and complex gadgets to improve your Wasteland settlements. The Contraptions Workshop also includes all-new features like elevators, greenhouse kits, warehouse kits, fireworks, armor racks and more!”— Official description
Contraptions Workshop is the fourth add-on, and second workshop add-on for Fallout 4.
As the name suggests, Contraptions Workshop adds several gizmos and gadgets to enhance one's settlements. There are new structures, including buildings, elevators, and a track kit. The add-on also features manufacturing machines, conveyor belts, and display cases to help supplement and connect the new additions.
The promotional trailer features Raymond Scott's Powerhouse as the background song. In particular, it is an excerpt from "Powerhouse B" whose slow, rhythmic theme has become readily associated with mechanical activity in cartoons.
