Military issue combat knife

This military-issue cutting tool was designed for more than sawing rope.[Non-game 1] The combat knife tears through flesh, too, but it can't pierce strong armor.

Trench knife

Gameplay article: Fallout 3

There is no functional difference between the regular combat knife and the trench knife, only the visual touch of a spiked knuckle guard.

  1. Fallout: The Roleplaying Game Rulebook p. 276: "For both fighting and for utility uses, soldiers—and those who seek to emulate soldiers—frequently carry knives. The Combat Knife found across the wastelands is normally of the same type as was issued to U.S. Army soldiers during the Great War, a single-edged blade with a clipped point. The weapon is lightweight and sturdy, and intended for heavy use."
