City of the Dead, also known as "Beware the Wrath of Caesar" is an ambient music track composed by Mark Morgan for the Fallout and Fallout 2 soundtracks. The track is available as a part of the Vault Archives compilation.
Appearances[]
City of the Dead appears in Fallout and Fallout 2, it plays while the Vault Dweller is in Necropolis, and while the Chosen One is in Navarro, Vault 15, or at King Arthur's camp.
It is re-used in Fallout: New Vegas while the Courier is in Nipton and Camp Searchlight. This track also plays when the Courier is in the Sierra Madre in the Dead Money add-on.

For its use in Fallout: New Vegas, the soundtrack was renamed "Beware the Wrath of Caesar" and listed as an original game soundtrack, despite not having been composed for the game.
Behind the scenes[]
"City of the Dead" heavily borrows the beginning of "Self Strangulation" by Techno Animal from the collaborative dark ambient album Isolationism.
