Chris Jones is a developer who worked at Interplay Entertainment on Fallout and Fallout 2 as Senior Programmer and was a CTO of Obsidian Entertainment during the development of Fallout: New Vegas. He can also be considered a Van Buren developer.

Biography[]

Chris Jones started his career in the industry at Interplay. While under Interplay's wing, he got a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and stayed at Interplay long enough to work on titles like Rags to Riches, Star Trek: Judgement Rites, Stonekeep, M.A.X., Star Trek: Starfleet Academy and none other than Fallout. Along with Tim Cain, he was one of the Lead Programmers.

After Fallout, Chris left Interplay to join Troika Games and helped in making Arcanum. After Arcanum, Chris returned to Black Isle Studios and shortly after became the Lead Programmer for the Baldur's Gate 3 project and was responsible for re-designing the Jefferson Engine and building a solid programming team. In 2003, Chris left Black Isle Studios to become one of the founders and CTO of Obsidian Entertainment.
