The armor is a form-fitting armored jumpsuit, with an embedded stealth camouflage system. It generates a modulating field that transmits the reflected light from one side of an object to the other, making a person much harder to notice but not completely invisible.
Chinese stealth armor provides the same protection against radiation as a hazmat suit, with 1000 radiation resistance and 98% inherent radiation reduction, as well as protection against waterborne diseases. It also provides a varying amount of damage resistance and energy resistance depending on its level. Additionally, it provides a stealth boost while crouching similar to the Stealth Boy and 90% multiplicative fall damage reduction.
Plans for both armor and helmet can be obtained as a quest reward from Invisible Ties.
Independent of the quest, the armor plan can be bought for 4000 gold bullion, and the helmet plan for 1650 gold bullion, from Samuel if the player character has a reputation rank of Neighborly or above with the Settlers.
The armor is affected by the Sturdy Frame perk, so with the perk equipped it is lighter than a standard radiation suit while also providing all its additional benefits.
The armor is not affected by the Super Duper perk.
The stealth effect is applied by the armor, the helmet is optional.
While helmet can be scrapped, the armor can't. Both can not be dropped or sold.
The helmet is considered a hat and a costume for challenges.
In addition to 1000 radiation resistance, the armor provides hidden -98% radiation damage reduction.
Outfits cannot be worn over the Chinese stealth armor.
