I will find you, American dog.— Chinese soldier

Chinese soldiers are the primary enemies encountered in the Anchorage Reclamation simulation, and replicate the pre-War People's Liberation Army that fought in the Battle of Anchorage. They appear in the Fallout 3 add-on Operation: Anchorage.

Background[]

Led by Chairman Cheng, the People's Liberation Army played a pivotal role in the Resource Wars. They fought the United States and its armed forces during the Sino-American War, from the initial invasion and occupation of Alaska in 2066 to a defensive war in mainland China in the wake of the 2074 American invasion.[1]

Following the liberation of Anchorage, General Constantine Chase commissioned the creation of a digital simulation based on the events of the battle using Virtual Strategic Solutions, including recreations of the Chinese forces and their leader, General Jingwei.

Variants[]

Chinese soldier[]

Fo3OA Chinese Rifleman

Standard PLA infantry, they are usually armed with Chinese assault rifles, and wear winterized Chinese jumpsuits. Like every other character in the simulation, they are impossible to loot as they disappear upon death.

They are the most common enemy inside the simulation, typically appearing in squads of four or five. They are weaker than their American counterparts, especially soldiers clad in power armor, but have greater numbers. Chinese soldiers are roughly on par with raiders or (at higher levels) Talon Company mercs in terms of durability and skill. They have roughly about half as much health as the American strike team soldiers, but are on a similar level in terms of combat skill.

Chinese sniper[]

Fo3OA Chinese Sniper

Assigned to the elite Crimson Dragoon units, the snipers of the PLA utilize high-powered long-range rifles and the Chinese-developed Hei Gui stealth armor.

They will use their weapons in both ranged and close-quarters combat. All Chinese special weapons units have about twice as much health as standard Chinese soldiers, and at higher levels are about on par with Enclave soldiers in terms of skill and durability. Unlike normal Crimson Dragoons, they cannot be pickpocketed.

Fo3OA Chinese Inferno

Inferno units use flamers and wear winterized Chinese jumpsuits. They typically operate alone, with no teammates backing them up.

They usually guard corners, with quite a few located inside the battlefield trenches. They pose a threat due to their equipment and numbers. All Chinese special weapons units have about twice as much health as standard Chinese soldiers, and at higher levels are about on par with Enclave soldiers in terms of skill and durability.

Chinese launcher[]

Fo3OA Chinese Launcher

Chinese launchers use missile launchers and wear winterized Chinese jumpsuits.

They counteract American T-51b units and American power armored soldiers, shooting missiles from the top of ledges. All Chinese special weapons units have about twice as much health as standard Chinese soldiers, and at higher levels are about on par with Enclave soldiers in terms of skill and durability.
