Mystery Disappearance

The town's been abuzz regarding a man said to have gone missing on his trip to our neck of the woods.

Family say Quentin Hake was last seen on his visit to a West Virginia research facility on a business trip as an advisor for Stolz Enterprises. Beyond that, the family did not have further information on Mr. Hake's itinerary, or even the name of facilityIn-game spelling, punctuation and/or grammar he was meant to visit.

Cassidy Stolz, wife of CEO and founder Hugo Stolz, had this to say about the disappearance:

"We are extremely concerned to hear the news that Quentin has gone missing. He is a highly valued member of our workforce and we pride ourselves on putting employee well-being first. We hope and pray that Quentin will be found safe and sound as soon as possible."

Stolz Industries has come up in the news a few times over the past few years after their purchase of large swathesIn-game spelling, punctuation and/or grammar of land in the Shenandoah National Park; much to the chagrin of the former residents, who famously held onto their land after a lengthy court battle against the state's claim of eminent domain.

Stolz Industries declined to comment on their involvement with the supposed "research facility", or any dealings regarding their business in the Park that borders our great state.

Local law enforcement officials have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Hake's disappearance, and ask that any individuals with pertinent information report to the nearest police station as soon as possible.

Behind the scenes[]

The transcript of this note was different when it was first introduced in the Public Test Server. It previously read:

Mystery Disappearance

There have been growing concerns in the Shenandoah community after the unexplained disappearance of a senior advisor to the acclaimed multi-millionaire, Hugo Stolz.

The advisor in question, Quentin Hake, was last seen on his visit to a local research facility, where he was to meet with leading scientists involved in the newly completed ATLAS Observatory. Whilst any specifics about this highly secretive facility are unknown, there have been unconfirmed reports that the pioneering technology being worked on may have something to do with altering weather patterns in the local area.

Cassidy Stolz, Hugo's wife and business partner, had this to say about the disappearance: "We are extremely concerned to hear the news that Quentin has gone missing. He is a highly valued member of our workforce and we pride ourselves on putting employee wellbeing first. We hope and pray that Quentin will be found safe and sound as soon as possible."

Local law enforcement officials have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Hake's disappearance and ask that any individuals with pertinent information report to the nearest station as soon as possible.

The updated, current transcript removed the reference to ATLAS Observatory and its weather program, presumably to obscure some story details until further in the Skyline Valley quest line. The new version also includes more casual language such as "our neck of the words" and "our great state," turning the article into something more out of a personal column, compared to the more neutral wording of the original transcript.
