Cedric is a man employed by Roger Warwick. Bill Sutton is considering getting him to employ a mercenary to assassinate Roger, whom he suspects of being a synth.

Building a Better Crop: Cedric has ventured to the Third Rail to find a mercenary as per Bill Sutton's instructions. The Sole Survivor must get this information out of him by either bribing him with 500 caps or passing a Charisma check.

- Sometimes he chooses to be in the Third Rail instead of Warwick homestead, he can still be traded with.
- If convinced to leave Roger Warwick alone he will return to Warwick homestead and behave like a regular settler, however he will not be marked as essential and can die.

Behind the scenes[]
Cedric is voiced by actor Jim Cummings, who also voices several other elderly male characters in Fallout 4. In localized versions of the game, Cedric's voice is dubbed by Helmut Krauss in German.
Bugs[]
The letter may not spawn in Cedric's inventory if he dies.[verified]- Cedric Hopton may be found dead in the water tank after a settlement attack. This can happen before the quest involving him.[verified]
- Sometimes Cedric will spawn in the floor of the Warwick Homestead. He cannot be interacted with while in this state. [verified]
- Reloading a save prior to rendering of the Warwick Homestead can solve this issue.
- Leaving the area and coming back at a later time may solve this issue.
