Cave fungus is a consumable in Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4.

Variants

Cave fungus

Cave fungus

Cave fungi are food items that, when consumed, restore Hit Points and reduce the consumer's radiation level. In Fallout 3, they appear as pieces of fungi skewered on a stick, like a "kebab" (identical to the appearance of iguana bits and strange meat). While in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on, Honest Hearts, they appear as red mushroom caps. They are difficult to find in the Mojave Wasteland, and are mainly used to make hydra at campfires.
