Caps was once the front gate guard of Little Lamplight.
Background[]
She guarded the front gate alongside Stacey, and enjoyed her company as well as the jokes she made.[1] Stacey searched for hats that Caps could add to her collection, leading to her name.[2]
One day, Stacey was away from the gate while on duty. With Caps on her own, she was killed when raiders suddenly attacked,[1] leading Stacey to blame herself.[3]

Stacey: "Except... I was supposed to be on guard when they attacked. I should have been here to help Caps. It really is my fault she died. Now I'm the only front gate guard, so it's my responsibility to make up for that."
