The vault seems like the perfect fit. I've heard stories of vaults before, that they are dangerous, haunted even. But this one seems to have been made to show, to entice others into jaws that lay elsewhere. We must do the same if we are to survive, as our rations are nearly gone.
Javier must have noticed my unease, as he floated the idea of adding some security measures, like a small keypad on the doors. For the code, I suggested the laws Javier had quoted at the other locations, as it would make it easy to recall and serve as instructional to repeat them.
So for instance, at the resort, he quoted one of the five laws, and at the mansion, another. That would be two numbers, but we still needed one more, so I said the next law we enforced would be the last.
The more pressing concern is the lack of food. Javier and I have been struggling, but Lucia, while emotionally distant, seems well nourished. I find this suspicious, and I wonder if she has been taking advantage of this vault's stock of perishables.
If so, it's clear now she is not one of us. Given the amount she's consumed, she could still prove useful, however, as a morsel. If Javier and I are to survive, sacrifices like this must be made
