Caliente is a small town based in a volcanic basin lying north of Highway 93 in the Mojave Wasteland.[1]

Background

The town has a stable source of freshwater and a geothermal power station, making it a popular target for raiders, typically White Legs or the 80s. Stella used to be the town's sheriff, and she mentions the town living up to its name, "caliente" being the Spanish word for "hot." The name comes from the nearby hot springs.[2]

Caliente is mentioned only in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Honest Hearts.

Behind the scenes

Caliente is a real world town of the same name, located near the state border of Utah, likewise along Highway 93.
