Please be respectful here - these are the bones of our ancestors.Waking Cloud

The burial mounds are a location in Zion Canyon in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Honest Hearts.

Layout[]

Situated southeast across the stream from the Zion fishing lodge, the burial mounds consist of several multi-leveled wooden structures with skeletons resting on them. There are several pots containing miscellaneous items spread throughout the area, usually next to a structure. Exiting the mounds to the west up some rocks is a hollowed-out rock.

Before starting Flight from Zion and triggering the related quest, the area will be empty save for some creatures including yao guai that spawn near the river shores. During the quest, there will be several White Legs occupying the area, as well as a couple of Sorrows warriors including Dancing Flame near the area.

Notes[]

  • If Waking Cloud is an active companion when near the location, she will say, "Please be respectful here, these are the bones of our ancestors". The player character can still freely loot the pots without Karma loss or negative reaction from companions.
  • A lean-to and a couple of containers just below the raised area which the burial mounds are on will spawn in during Sanctity of the Dead and remain there until completing Flight from Zion. Anything stored in the containers, and not retrieved before the end of the add-on, will be lost.

Appearances[]

The burial mounds only appear in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Honest Hearts.
