Buck was a member of the Responders and the lover of Rita Wilcox.
Background
Despite his perception of the Fire Breathers as "nut jobs," Buck supported Wilcox when she was accepted into the division. The pair had one last night together at the Alpine River Cabins before she left for training at the Charleston Fire Department, with Buck leaving her a recorded message reminding her to be careful and affirming his love for her.[1]
