The Brotherhood mobile fortress was a location present in early Fallout 2 story drafts.[1]

BackgroundEdit

This massive land fortress was the Brotherhood of Steel's mobile command center, prowling the lands and scooping up mutants for slave labor. The Brotherhood was also responsible for the army of lobotomites that would stalk the player character. In the early drafts, the Brotherhood and the descendant of Overseer Jacoren, together with a group of elite leaders, made a secret alliance to exchange technology for protection. The idea was for the player character to expose or stop the alliance. The idea was dropped as it was too weak for a storyline.[2]

NotesEdit

The Fallout 2 Official Strategies & Secrets strategy guide mentions a mobile fortress used by the Master's Army, while Leonard Boyarsky later clarified that the idea was meant for the Brotherhood of Steel.

AppearancesEdit

The Brotherhood mobile fortress was to appear in Fallout 2 in its initial story design stages. It was cut from the final version of the game but is mentioned in the Fallout Bible.[3]

"A second set of drafts hypothesized the army of the Master (from Fallout 1) roaming the Wastes in a huge, armored land fortress, scooping up muties to use as slave labor. As you can see, neither of these stories made their way into the final game."
