You're so sneaky that you can sneak even with your Pip-Boy light on! Any time the Pip-Boy light is on, you gain a sneak bonus to offset the light's sneak penalty.— In-game description

Broad Daylight is a perk in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Lonesome Road.

Effects[]

Taking this perk attempts(Note) to offset the penalty against one's chance of detection when sneaking while the Pip-Boy light is on by adding 15 temporary skill points to the sneak skill.

Notes[]

  • ^ (Note) Due to the mechanics of sneak calculations, the player’s sneak skill is capped at 100, rendering the perk ineffective if the skill is already maximized. For players with a sneak skill below 100, the perk’s 15-point sneak bonus provides only a marginal advantage, insufficient to counterbalance the detection penalty incurred by activating the Pip-Boy light; deactivating the light typically proves more effective.
  • In daylight scenarios within the Mojave Wasteland, where ambient light overshadows the Pip-Boy light’s impact on detection, the perk can transform the activated Pip-Boy light into a slight benefit for sneaking, though this advantage remains minor and situational.
  • The perk also affects the Pimp-Boy 3 Billion's light.
