The Boulder City train station is a building in the northern outskirts of Boulder City.

Layout

Inside the building, bark scorpions, a Nuka-Cola vending machine, a Hard locked safe, an Advanced locked terminal, and a Sunset Sarsaparilla vending machine can be found. The train station is frequented by a traveling merchant. An inaccessible Barstow Strong Express train sits on the tracks.

Across the railroad tracks to the north of the train station, an industrial structure can be found. The rails leaving the station to the east are shattered and spread out. At the top of the industrial structure's ramp is a duffle bag surrounded by empty Jet inhalers which contains two trail mixes and some NCR money.

Notes

  • Upon approaching the platform of the train station for the first time, and before the Courier reaches New Vegas, they will be greeted by Victor. He is once again surprised to see the Courier on their travels throughout the Mojave Wasteland. After the dialogue, he will circle the cement factory opposite the station before heading over the hills to the north of Boulder City.
  • The industrial structure may make the noise of iron settling when approaching it.

Appearances

The Boulder City train station appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.

Behind the scenes

  • The Boulder City train station is located in the same geographical area as the real world Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City, Nevada. The elevation sign above the railroad tracks is nearly identical to the real world equivalent. The only variation is that in-game, the sign reads "Elevation 2500" whereas the real world sign reads "Elevation 2475."
  • The real world city's motto "Home of the Eagles" is seen on the sign as well, which mirrors the mascot and motto of the real world Boulder City High School.
