The bottlecap mine is a weapon in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics
The bottlecap mine is a powerful improvised weapon. It functions like any other land mine, but takes the player character slightly more time to arm and drop. It also has a longer warning sound before detonating. Like other placed explosives, it cannot be used in V.A.T.S.
Crafting
This weapon can be crafted by the player character. A more efficient crafting recipe that requires the Mad Bomber perk is available with the Gun Runners' Arsenal add-on installed.

Locations
- Ranger Station Charlie - Located in the room to the left of the entrance behind a pair of fire extinguishers. It only appears after speaking to Ranger Andy about investigating why he has lost contact with the station or by starting Return to Sender. It is an enemy-placed mine and must be disarmed.
- The armorer sometimes sells them at the Great Khan armory.
Notes
When talking to Alice McLafferty during the Pressing Matters quest, she mentions that "some idiots" use caps inside explosives, referring to the bottlecap mine.
