Botsmith armor is an armor set in Fallout 76, introduced in the Test Your Metal update.

Characteristics[]

The armor is made out of rusty robot parts. The chest piece bears a striking resemblance to the torso of a sentry bot, albeit much smaller to fit a human collar, while the arm and leg pieces appear to be generic pieces of machined metal. The logo of the Crater is painted on the torso. The armor pieces cannot be dropped, sold, or traded, but they can be exchanged for legendary scrip at a legendary exchange machine.

Botsmith armor uses the same model as sturdy robot armor.

Legendary effects[]

Botsmith armor can be obtained with legendary effects.
Armor can drop with legendary effects only after learning its plans.
There is no level requirement to get botsmith armor.
Legendary armor pieces can be bought with legendary scrip from Purveyor Murmrgh or can be awarded as drop from events .
Legendary enemies can drop botsmith armor only after learning its plans.
Botsmith armor effects can be re-rolled using legendary crafting feature.
4 star effects cannot be applied.

Notes[]

Robot armor can be crafted at level 10, but botsmith armor cannot.
Botsmith armor pieces are at least level 20, but it is possible to obtain them and plans for them at lower levels.
The Assaultron helmet, sentry bot helmet and Eyebot helmet have unused botsmith versions. (Edit: The Helmets must be crafted first before modifying with the botsmith paint scheme. There are two "None" paint schemes.)
Robot armor and botsmith armor are considered a single set for Sizzling Style and Funky Duds legendary perks.
While robot armor can be light, sturdy or heavy, botsmith armor is always heavy.
The lead-lined torso mod can be applied using the metal armor lead-lined mod box.
It is the lightest armor set in the game.
It is one of the most durable armors in the game with a maximum durability of 89.
