Bot-Stop or Bot Stop was a pre-War company that operated a chain of robot creation stations located in Appalachia before the Great War.
Background[]
The company established several locations across Appalachia, planning to open multiple locations in the spring of 2078.[1] Each station had an internal robotic assistant to entice passersby to use the station and give advice on bot creation.
Equipped with six robot fabricators, the Bot-Stops could produce a variety of robots, including Mister Handy, Mister Gutsy and Assaultron models. Advertising domestic models,[2] articulated assistants,[3] and handy helpers,[4] the Bot-Stop boasted robotic assistance and helpfulness to all those who were to use the service.
Users were required to provide specifications using either of the stations' terminals before the production of the personalized robot could begin. In addition, special orders could be remotely transmitted to the station, where the station would utilize special and priority schematic lists to produce custom robotics.[5][6] Finally, once robots were created, the station would give them polycarbonate finishes,[7] although the station refused returns of the merchandise.[8]
