Bloodhound, also known as Theta Vanguard,[1] real name Danielle Reeves, is a hostile member of the Enclave's Epsilon Squad at the Gleaming Depths in Fallout 76, introduced in the Gleaming Depths update.

Background[]

Formerly a private in the Enclave, Danielle Reeves was the vanguard of Enclave Epsilon Squad and a close-quarters combat specialist, with the codename designation Bloodhound.[2] Their detachment was deployed to the research laboratory for Project Vulcan due to the importance of the project, as laid out by then-Secretary Thomas Eckhart. They were described as an elite task force, and their presence was a luxury rarely afforded to extant research facilities.[3]

On April 23, 2085, the squadron had their first contact with an outside threat: red humanoids with crystalline growths, otherwise known as the Scorched. A week later, Wasp and Python assaulted their superior officer and were killed by automated turrets at the facility. An autopsy suggested that they had contracted a disease from the hostiles they encountered, which would be the Scorched Plague. On June 7, 2085, it was reported that the rest of Epsilon Squad had been showing signs of infections. They were voluntarily quarantined for study, and the Enclave's scientists had no known cure for the plague.[4]

Bloodhound still resides at the Gleaming Depths as a power armor-bound enemy alongside Lynx and Vulture, where the three surviving members of the squad are suspended in tanks, having apparently fully turned into enraged, Scorched hostiles.

Notes[]

Although the Gleaming Depths terminal entries indicate that Bloodhound and the rest of the squad were diseased with the Scorched Plague, in terms of gameplay Bloodhound is not classified as a Scorched and is not a valid enemy for the Zealot's Legendary mod. Instead, Bloodhound is a human affected by the Assassin's Legendary mod.

Bloodhound appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Gleaming Depths update.
