Bloatfly meat is a consumable item in Fallout: New Vegas.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Bloatfly meat is the insectoid meat that can be scavenged from the many bloatflies around the wasteland.

It restores 5 Hit Points, but also gives a small amount of radiation, in the form of 5 rads. It can also be used to make a bloatfly slider at campfires. Additionally, in hardcore mode, it can reduce Starvation by 25, at the expense of -1 Strength for a 2 minutes duration.

Locations[edit | edit source]

Old World Blues (add-on) Bloatfly meat can be found on the legendary bloatfly in excess of 50 pieces.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Surprisingly, the meat from a bloatfly is as big as, if not bigger than, a living bloatfly.
  • Its appearance and stats are identical to that of ant meat.
