Your ignorance cannot excuse your cruelty. You have infected our home with violence and now... you must pay the price.— Birdie decides to punish Lucy MacLean

Birdie is a leader of Vault 4 in 2296 in the Fallout TV series. She is the assistant of the overseer Benjamin.

Background[]

She claims that she was born on the surface and comes from Shady Sands. Her mother was a courier, and when she was 11, she traveled with her mother to Filly. It is unknown how much time passed between her arrival and the bombing of Shady Sands.(Note)

When her hometown was nuked by Hank MacLean in the early 2280s, Birdie could feel the heat of the blast from Shady Sands across the region. She eventually made her way to Vault 4, where other survivors of Shady Sands would live.

Fallout TV series[]

The Trap[]

Birdie welcomes Lucy MacLean and Maximus when they find themselves in Vault 4.

The Radio[]

Birdie and Ben interrogate Lucy after she is caught sneaking around the restricted area. Birdie explains to Lucy how the Vault is trying to find cures to alleviate the suffering of those who were experimented upon by the original leaders.

Personality[]

Notes[]

^ (Note) Birdie's actress was in her mid-40s while filming, which can be seen as strange according to the timeline if she is supposed to be 11 while Shady Sands was nuked. However, she technically only said she was 11 when she traveled with her mother to Filly, and it is also unknown how much time Birdie stayed in Filly until the town was nuked. While Birdie may be in her late 20s, her true age is, ultimately, unknown.

Notable quotes[]

  • "Trust doesn't come easily to those of us with... a guilty conscience."
  • "To bring back Shady Sands, blood must spill! Blood must spill! Blood must spill!"
  • "O Flame Mother, O Flame Mother, you will be our salvation."

Appearances[]

Birdie appears in the Fallout TV series episodes "The Trap" and "The Radio."
