The battlefield trenches are a location in the Fallout 3 add-on Operation: Anchorage.

Layout[]

The trenches are directly north of the U.S. Army field headquarters. After entering the trenches, there are three American soldiers hiding behind the wall. The trench veers and turns right before continuing straight for a length. In the middle of this length are Chinese soldiers. There is also a captive American soldier, a health dispenser, and an intel suitcase here. The trench continues onto the surface, with an ammo dispenser tucked away in an alcove at the end of the trench.

The next surface run is relatively long compared to the first trench exit. One will pass along structures made for cover before dipping back down into the trench. The trench is now obstructed by wooden structures and brimming with Chinese soldiers, including snipers and inferno units. Behind the wall where the first confrontation takes place, there is a health and ammo dispenser as well as some other supplies. This trench leads to a bunker with some automated turrets in them. From here on, the trench forks. To the right is some Chinese resistance and supplies.

Forking left, however, is the "correct" path in order to get to the Chinese pulse field. This path also forks. To the left of this fork, there is a makeshift bunker with beds and a decrypted terminal in it. The right fork continues on into a "room" with Chinese resistance and additional supplies, including health and ammo. The trenches end here.

The surface has concrete roadblocks set up to impede American advancement. The path continues through the building and to the right into more buildings. There is then a clearing with a supply room on the far right. After passing through a "control center" of sorts, one will arrive at the Chinese pulse field.

Notable loot[]

  • An intel suitcase in the first "room" in the trenches along with a captive and health dispenser.
