The BBQ Shack is a location in the Fallout TV series.
Background[]
Formerly a business establishment in the pre-War era in the city of Santa Monica, California, sometime after the destruction of the NCR capital of Shady Sands in 2283, Sorrel Booker formed an organization of his own out of a self-righteous mission to restore order, naming it the Govermint with himself as its president and claimed the old restaurant as their headquarters. From here, they conduct their operations including sending "sheriffs" to collect tribute paid to them by those they secure under their protection rackets including the organ-harvesters Huey and Squirrel out of a nearby Super Duper Mart outlet.
Booker's crew also seemingly maintains a small farm close to the building, raising hogs to slaughter for meat to feed themselves as well as utilizing the animals as low-tech body disposal if the need arises.
Wanted posters[]
Wanted posters
While the legitimacy of the Govermint's bounties is questionable, the BBQ Shack's wall features an assortment of bounty posters for valuable targets, with notable ones including Lee Moldaver, at least one super mutant, and a couple of ghouls by 2296.
In the TV series[]
The Trap[]
Govermint "president" Sorrel Booker, current owner of the BBQ Shack
After being picked up by sheriffs of the Govermint at the destroyed Super Duper Mart following the deaths of their clients Huey and Squirrel a short time prior, the Ghoul is brought to their HQ at the BBQ Shack and re-introduced to Govermint president Sorrel Booker, who recognizes the mutant bounty hunter from a past encounter and mentions his lifelong quest for "her," but is brushed off by the Ghoul who instead focuses on using a needle and thread to reattach the finger previously bitten off by Lucy MacLean.[1]
As Booker begins to chastise his former associate for supposedly disrupting the Govermint's business by destroying the organ harvesting operation, the Ghoul taunts him and Sheriff Troy to whom he claims he killed the man's father during a shootout in Filly, escalating Troy's anger further until Booker diffuses the tension and orders his men to take their guest out and feed him to the hogs. However, when Troy attempts to grab the Ghoul, the bounty hunter retaliates and swiftly disarms the Govermint lackey along with Sheriff Rex, and both are gunned down by the Ghoul, to Booker's chagrin. The Ghoul is momentarily distracted from dealing with Booker when he notices the shack's selection of wanted posters, particularly the one of Lee Moldaver whom he recognizes, but instead by her name "Miss Williams" when he met her centuries ago, before the bombs.[1]
