Foreman Jacobs,
Just writing to update you on the progress of our automated repair robots. We're happy to report that, as of their most recent tests, they are now performing on par with our best human workers. With this success, our plans are now to roll out full automation within the next six months at your facility. As a result of this fantastic opportunity, we are regrettably going to have to dismiss a number of the human workers at your location. To ensure the robots continue to operate at peak efficiency, we wish to retain you and an engineer of your recommendation as maintenance workers. Training will be provided to ensure you are both able to do what is required.
With regards to the other workers at the facility, please notify them of their dismissal at the earliest opportunity. In acknowledgment of the stress and upset this may cause, we are offering a special severance package of two weeks pay, and a coupon for a meal at the Corner House Cafe in Athens. You may consult the information pack we have provided for more details.
