The Atomic-valence tri-radii-oscillator is a piece of headwear in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Old World Blues.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

This item is a variant of the Valence radii-accentuator, differing from the original by having three orbiting halos (at a 60° angle to one another) instead of one. These halos are bright blue in color and orbit the wearer's head. The oscillator has 33% more DT than the valence radii-accentuator and restores 24 hit points every in-game hour. For comparison, the valence radii-accentuator only restores 12 hit points per in-game hour. There are only two Atomic-valence tri-radii-oscillators in the game, making them semi-unique.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • The Atomic-valence tri-radii-oscillator is considered a "glasses" item and can be worn with some headgear, such as berets, pre-War bonnet, Daniel's hat Honest Hearts, and the space suit helmet. It can also be worn with Lucky shades.
    • Wearing it with these items will also show the Courier's hair, otherwise the Atomic-valence will make them appear bald.
  • Its regeneration effect stacks with the Monocyte Breeder.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The atomic-valence tri-radii-oscillator has the same form as the Rutherford model of the atom devised by Ernest Rutherford.
