The assassin suit (or stealth suit Mk I) is a unique set of light armor in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Dead Money.

Background[]

This suit was the first functional American stealth armor model created from reverse-engineered Chinese stealth armor suits by scientists at the X-13 research facility at Big MT. Unlike its successor, the stealth suit Mk II, the Mk I is not computerized in any way and functions as a regular suit of armor.

The assassin suit was previously worn by Christine Royce during her expedition to hunt down Father Elijah in the Sierra Madre. It was removed from her when she was captured by Dean Domino and imprisoned in the Villa clinic to be tortured by a malfunctioning Auto-Doc, left in an operating room.[1]

Characteristics[]

The assassin suit is a streamlined full-body suit with protective attachments on the chest, shoulders, forearms, and knees. The entire suit is a dull gray-green color for blending in and around urban settings. It provides a moderate Damage Threshold of 14 while weighing 20 pounds. Keeping true to its name, it also has a Sneak bonus of 10, an additional 5 compared to its predecessor, the Chinese stealth armor.

Comparison[]

Agility +1 (Firmware v1.3)
Movement-speed while crouched +20% (Firmware v1.4)

Locations[]

The armor can be found in the medical district of the Sierra Madre, in the main clinic. From the front door, one must go through the right-side door near the front desk, then into the first room on the right; a couple of headless corpses can be seen there. The suit is on the far end of a green stretcher to the left end of the room.

Notes[]

  • Under the "effects" section in the Pip-Boy, the assassin suit is referred to as "stealth suit."
  • Although the assassin suit shares the same DT and basic appearance as the stealth suit Mk II, the latter is classified as medium armor and suffers the class's penalties to sneaking whereas the assassin suit is classified as light armor, allowing one to benefit from useful perks like Tunnel Runner Lonesome Road (add-on) and Travel Light.
  • Despite being light armor, the armor uses the sounds for walking, running and sneaking typical of medium armor.
