Anchorage was a city in the state of Alaska prior to the Great War.
Background
In the winter of 2066, Anchorage Alaska was occupied by Communist China. The Anchorage frontline became a massive battleground. On January 10, 2077, the Battle of Anchorage occurred and the United States began its counter-invasion of China.

The town was reduced to ruins by conventional or possibly nuclear warfare. The Brotherhood of Steel's influence stretched as far as Alaska and became their new headquarters. Whether Anchorage was in their control is unknown.

Appearances
Anchorage appears only in the Fallout 3 add-on Operation: Anchorage, but the player character cannot go to Anchorage itself and is only seen from some cliffs. Anchorage is also mentioned in Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3 and its add-on Mothership Zeta, Fallout 4 and its add-on Automatron, Fallout 76,[1] and Fallout Shelter.[2] It was also to appear in the canceled Fallout Extreme, and mentioned in Van Buren.
