Designed with the appearance of a rifle, the alien disintegrator is the preferred long range weapon of alien invaders, allowing them to fire at enemies from a distance while minimizing incoming damage to their power armor. The alien invader can wield the disintegrator in one hand, allowing them to throw plasma grenades with their free hand. It is the preferred weapon of General Zeta.

Notes
The alien disintegrator lacks a sight model. This makes aiming in first-person perspective rather difficult.
The alien disintegrator cannot use cryo or poison damage conversions with the automatic fire mode.
The alien disintegrator can spawn with ammunition quantities ranging from 6, 11, 18 to 24 alien blaster rounds.
A non-playable version of the weapon may be wielded by alien invaders. These have a different rate of fire, reload speed, and scaling damage values than the playable versions. They will only use the standard mod loadout.
The alien disintegrator uses a unique set of handling animations. As a result, its model is different than Alien disintegrator (Creation Club), which had shared animations with the plasma rifle.

PCXbox OnePlaystation 4 The alien disintegrator is not affected by the Long Shot perk.[verified][1]
PCXbox OnePlaystation 4 The versions used by NPCs are not considered energy weapons or ranged weapons. As a result, they ignore perks such as Electric Absorption and Ricochet.[verified][2]
