The abandoned mining town is a location in the Fallout 3 add-on Operation: Anchorage.

Layout[]

This abandoned town is located northeast of the U.S. Army field headquarters. The Lone Wanderer traverses the edge of the the town on their way to the listening post. The gateway into the area is a derelict train yard, where two American soldiers are hiding.

The area between the trainyard and the listening post goes through Chinese fortifications and bombed-out buildings. The first bunker beyond the train yard has to be stormed on foot and is manned by Chinese troops and a group of guard dogs. An American captive with a health and ammo dispenser can be found next to a fire in the first destroyed building. Northwest of the collapsed structure is an intel suitcase.

Once the Lone Wanderer secures the bunker and reaches the bombed out building, they will return to ground level, on the other side of the barbed wire. The path to the post goes through another part of the ruined train depot. The largest structure has four Crimson Dragoons with sniper rifles standing watch.

Once the train depot is cleared, the listening post is a short trek away past numerous Chinese soldiers.

Notable loot[]

  • An intel suitcase is found in the northwest part of the first bombed out building, on some crates.

Notes[]

Unlike at Chinese Forward Camp Delta, once the Chinese soldiers in the town are defeated, the flagpole will not change from a Chinese flag to an American flag. Instead, the flag will simply disappear.
