Walkthrough[]
The dweller level requirement, location room layout, and enemies in this quest seem to vary based on the Vault's dweller levels; level 10, level 20, level 30, level 40, and level 50 requirements have all been observed from different playthroughs.[verification overdue]
A building with an entrance on the second floor and a number of basement and upper floors (dependent on playthrough). The second room on the ground floor has a non-hostile wastelander wearing an NCR Ranger outfit who leaves after a short conversation. At some point, there will be a sequence of two rooms each with radroaches, including a glowing radroach, and there may be other rooms with a glowing radroach as well. As such, RadAway can be helpful.
Eventually, there will be a room with a single radscorpion that has a floating line of text. Lucy will be found in a room after the radscorpion; after speaking to her, she leaves for the player's Vault and the quest is completed.
Other rooms may feature various enemies, such as mole rats, raiders, and a feral ghoul. At higher levels, the rooms can include a Protectron, an Eyebot, and even a deathclaw.

Behind the scenes[]
The quest's title is a pun on the phrase "peer into the future," with "pier" replacing "peer." The old pier in question is based on the Santa Monica Pier in the Fallout TV series, and it can be seen in the location background.
