12 gauge shotgun shells is a type of ammunition in Fallout and Fallout 2.
Characteristics[]
A fairly common ammo type, the AC modifier of the shotgun shell will make it a little bit more accurate than any of the other starting guns until .223 FMJ weaponry are found. Even late-game enemies will use Pancor Jackhammers, making the shotgun shell a valuable ammo type.
In Fallout, ammunition modifiers are not applied properly which makes the 12 gauge equal to any other kind of ammunition. In practice, this only means the accuracy bonus is not applied and damage remains consistent.
