10mm is a type of ammunition in Fallout and Fallout 2.

BackgroundEdit

Main article: 10mm
Before the War, the powerful 10mm Automatic round was the standard ammunition for the Bureau of Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco, Firearms and Lasers and other law enforcement agencies, while the military was more reliant on experimental energy weapons (although it remained the round of choice for conventional pistols and submachine guns).[1] The Circle G brand of ammunition was one of the most popular, offering excellent centerfire cartridges for a variety of applications.

CharacteristicsEdit

The 10mm is the most common ammo found in the wasteland. The JHP is intended to shoot low-armored people, while AP gives more power to cut through armors, but has lower overall damage.

VariantsEdit

There are two variants of 10mm ammunition:

  • 10mm AP (Ammunition. Caliber: 10mm, armor piercing.)
  • 10mm JHP (Ammunition. Caliber: 10mm, jacketed hollow-points.)

Weapons using this ammunitionEdit

LocationsEdit

FalloutEdit

10mm JHP:

  • Standard starting inventory includes 48 10mm JHP rounds.
    • Tagging Small Guns increases this by an additional 24 rounds.
  • Various merchants
  • Raiders during the quest Help Irwin carry the ammunition.

Fallout 2Edit

BugsEdit

In Fallout, ammunition modifiers are not applied properly which makes the 10mm equal to any other kind of ammunition and both JHP and FMJ versions functionally identical.
