.44 Magnum is a type of ammunition in Fallout and Fallout 2.

CharacteristicsEdit

.44 Magnum is a powerful, large-bore cartridge originally designed for revolvers. These rounds are more valuable and harder-hitting than the commonly available 10mm. FMJ rounds of this caliber fare reasonably well against armor while suffering no penalty to damage, while hollow points are exceptionally deadly against lightly-armored targets.

VariantsEdit

There are two variants of .44 Magnum ammunition:

  • .44 Magnum FMJ (A brick of ammunition, .44 Magnum caliber, full metal jacket.)
  • .44 Magnum JHP (A brick of ammunition, .44 Magnum caliber, hollow-point.)

Weapons using this ammunitionEdit

BugsEdit

In Fallout, ammunition modifiers are not applied properly, which makes the .44 equal to any other kind of ammunition and both JHP and FMJ versions functionally identical.
