    • Выполнить задание «Власти стали» «Покаяние рыцаря»;
    • Воспользоваться системой изготовления легендарных предметов пять раз;
    • Приобрести один любой предмет у Минервы.

The Steel Reign Update for Fallout 76 is now available in the Public Test Server! We hope you will join us for some playtesting, questing, Legendary Crafting, and then share your feedback and bug reports with us here in the PTS forums.

Read on to catch brief descriptions of the features and improvements we’d like you to check out.

Steel Reign Questline This update brings all-new quests to Fallout 76 with the Steel Reign questline, which picks up right where you left off with the Brotherhood of Steel at the end of Steel Dawn. After you’ve gotten the chance to dive into a couple of the new quests, please share your thoughts on Steel Reign with us by visiting this thread in the PTS Forums.

  • Please note: There is no Non-Disclosure Agreement during this phase of the PTS. Please use spoiler tags, or do your best to warn other players about story spoilers, when discussing the new quest content outside of this PTS forum. Thank you!

Here’s how you can get started with Steel Reign:

  • Steel Reign quests are open to any level 20+ characters who have already completed the quest “The Best Defense” in the live version of the game at the end of the Steel Dawn questline.
    • When eligible characters log in, a quest called “A Knight’s Penance” will lead you to speak with Russell Dorsey in Fort Atlas to continue the Brotherhood story.
  • Alternatively, you can use the premade character, named “Quests,” that we’ve added to your PTS account to get started with Steel Reign no matter your existing characters’ quest progress. (More on premade characters below.)

New Vendor: Minerva A Blue Ridge Caravan Merchant, named “Minerva,” just arrived in Appalachia, and she’s ready to trade a selection of coveted item plans in exchange for your Gold Bullion.

  • The items that Minerva has available will rotate regularly, so be sure to check in with her whenever she’s in town! Her wares include Gold Bullion Plans that are normally only available from other Gold Bullion Vendors, or by completing Daily Ops.
    • Minerva is no slouch when it comes to making sales! She wants your business, and she’s offering discounts on Gold Bullion plans so that you’ll buy directly from her.
  • When Minerva arrives, she will set up shop at one of three settlements: Fort Atlas, Foundation, or The Crater.
  • Minerva’s visits will last for a few days at a time, but she will return to Appalachia each week to strike up new deals with any Dwellers who wander by her camp.
    • Please Note: Starting on May 17 in the PTS, Minerva will visit from Monday – Wednesday each week for three weeks.
    • During the week of June 7, she will appear from Thursday, June 10 – Monday, June 14, with a different inventory a special sale. The following week, she will not appear.
    • During the week of June 21, Minerva will resume her Monday – Wednesday visits, and the above cycle will repeat.

Alongside Minerva’s arrival, we’ve also removed the need to unlock Gold Bullion and Gold Bullion Vendors by completing the Wastelanders quest, “Secrets Revealed.”

  • All players can now see and purchase Gold Bullion items and plans from the following Gold Bullion Vendors’ inventories: Samuel in Foundation, Mortimer in The Crater, and Regs in Vault 79.
    • Players must still complete “Secrets Revealed” in order to purchase Gold Bullion using Caps from Smiley at The Wayward.
    • Additionally, Gold Bullion Vendor items that have Faction Reputation requirements have not been changed.

Legendary Crafting With this update, we’re implementing the Legendary Crafting system, which you can use to turn normal items into legendary items, re-roll your existing legendary items’ attributes, and even upgrade or downgrade their star-ratings.

Once you’ve tried Legendary Crafting in the PTS, please feel free to share your thoughts on the system with us by visiting this thread in the PTS Forums.

  • Using a new crafting component, called Legendary Cores, along with a few Legendary Modules, you can now craft “Legendary Upgrades” for your items.
    • Visit Weapon and Armor Workbenches, and then open the Modify menu to get started with Legendary Crafting.
    • You can earn Legendary Cores as rewards by completing Seasonal Events, Public Events, and Daily Ops.
    • As always, Legendary Modules are available from Purveyor Murmrgh in exchange for some Legendary Scrips.
  • You can craft 1-, 2-, and 3-star Legendary Upgrades for your gear, and the materials required to craft them increase based on the Legendary Upgrade tier you choose.
    • Applying a Legendary Upgrade to a normal item will turn it into a legendary version of that item, with 1, 2, or 3 randomly assigned legendary attributes, depending on the tier of Legendary Upgrade you applied.
    • Applying a Legendary Upgrade to an existing Legendary Item can increase or decrease the number of legendary attributes that item has, again depending on the tier of Legendary Upgrade you apply. Here are examples of each option:
      • Upgrade: Modding a 1-star item with a 3-star Legendary Upgrade will turn it into a 3-star version of that item with 3 random attributes.
      • Downgrade: Modding a 3-star item with a 2-star Legendary Upgrade will result in a 2-star version of that item with 2 random attributes.
      • Re-roll: Modding a 3-star item with a 3-star Legendary Upgrade replace all 3 of the existing item’s attributes and apply 3 news ones at random.

Legendary Power Armor In addition to weapons and normal armor, Legendary Crafting can also be used to create pieces of Legendary Power Armor.

  • Like weapons and armor, Legendary Power Armor pieces can also be upgraded, downgraded, and rerolled.
  • Visit any Power Armor Station and modify your favorite set of Power Armor to apply some Legendary Upgrades.
  • The vast majority of Legendary attributes that are available to normal armor can also be applied to Power Armor, with the following exceptions:
    • 1-Star
      • Auto-Revive: Chance to revive using a Stimpak
    • 3-Star
      • Acrobat’s: Reduced fall damage
      • Improved Sneaking: Harder to detect while sneaking
      • Diver’s: Grants underwater breathing

Legendary Attribute Balance Changes Alongside the arrival of Legendary Crafting, we’ve also revisited our lineup of Legendary Attributes to add some new ones, and give a tune-up to a few that already existed. Give some of the new and updated legendary attributes a test run using your existing items, or by making them using the Legendary Crafting system. Then, share your thoughts with us by visiting this thread in the PTS Forums.

If the party is a success, you’ll also earn some rewards!

If you have any feedback you’d like to share for Primal Cuts, Grahm’s Meat-Cook, the new rewards (listed below), or if you find any bugs during the Meat Week event, please let us know by posting here in the forums.

New Rewards Feel free to take some of the new rewards that we’re adding to Meat Week and Steel Reign for a test drive while you’re playing in the PTS. Please Note: Rewards like the Cryogenic Bed and Hellcat Power Armor are still in progress, and do not have final art just yet.

Premade Characters in Your PTS Account For those of you who have joined us in the Test Server previously, we’ve added a few premade characters to your PTS account, named “Quests” and “Rewards.” Please Note: Adding multiple characters to all PTS players’ accounts is a process that can take some time to complete. • Quests Characters: These characters are set to the very start of Steel Reign so that you can begin the new Brotherhood questline right away.

Welcome to our PTS for Update 26. We’re excited for you to dive into testing S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts, C.A.M.P Slots, aim assist and more.

Before you begin testing, reporting issues you see and providing feedback, here is a list of existing Known Issues.

C.A.M.P. Slots

  • Allies: Ally quests may take up to ten minutes to repopulate after swapping C.A.M.P. Slots.
  • Display: Players cannot unassign items from display racks while viewing a different display rack.
  • (ADDED) Display: Some items may assign to the incorrect display cases after relog.
  • Placement: Swapping C.A.M.P. Slots and fast traveling to the re-activated C.A.M.P. May result in an incorrect Maxed Out/Exceeded Budget.
  • Vending: Removing an item from a Vending Machine does not free up a slot.
  • Vending: The Seller taking one item from a stack may cause the entire stack to no longer be available for sale.
  • Vending: Players may be able to assign an item to their vending machine and display case at the same time.
  • Vending: Items placed on display racks may show in the transfer screen for assigning items to a vending machine.
  • (ADDED) Vending: Occasionally players may notice other players can no longer see the items they have for sale in their vending machine after restarting the game.

S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts

  • Leveling Up: If the player chooses to back out of adding a SPECIAL point during the level up screen, they will then not be able to add a point to SPECIAL until after a few Perk Card selections. Sometimes after selecting a card, the screen will immediately ask the player to select another card instead of offering them to add a SPECIAL point before adding a card
  • Naming Loadouts: Renaming a S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadout to blank does not restore the original default naming text.
  • Naming Loadouts: When naming a Loadout with special characters, players may hit a character save failure.
  • Switching Loadouts: Occasionally while switching loadouts, the UI will not update the players new selection. This is purely visual, and resolved by closing and reopening the menu
  • Perk Cards: If a player has a Legendary perk associated with a S.P.E.C.I.A.L., they may notice perk cards unequipping from that S.P.E.C.I.A.L. upon log in.
  • Perks: Legendary perks do not count towards the total perks.

Crafting Sliders

  • Crafting: Curser may change the item being crafted when using mouse and keyboard controls.

UI

  • Map: The map will not center on the player after they fast travel.
  • Map: Clicking “Show on map” in the Pip-boy will sometimes not center on the quest marker.
  • Vending: If a player has multiple vending machines active, the UI when hovering over the C.A.M.P. will incorrectly show multiples

Mannequins

  • (ADDED) Headwear: Players cannot assign Atomic Shop headwear to mannequins.
  • (ADDED) Placement: Moving C.A.M.P. or changing C.A.M.P. Slots may unassign items from mannequins.
  • (ADDED) Placement: Moving mannequins or Power Armor displays may be difficult once place.
    • NOTE: Storing the item and placing it from storage will resolve this.

Daily Ops

  • (ADDED) Mutations: Regeneration mutation may not heal as expected.
  • (ADDED) Rewards: Occasionally the Reward Tier may not reset.

World

  • (ADDED) Gold Press Machines: Display the incorrect inventory and do not allow players to exchange Treasury Notes for Gold Bullion.

Our next game update for Fallout 76 is now available in the Public Test Server! We hope you will join us for some playtesting and then share your feedback and bug reports with us here in the PTS forums. Don’t forget, you can also earn a PTS Pennant for your C.A.M.P. in the live game by playing in the PTS for at least one hour per day on three different days while the PTS is still online.

Read on to catch brief descriptions of the features and improvements we’d like you to check out.

S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts

S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts offer you even more adaptability as you face down the ever-growing threats of the Wasteland by allowing you to modify or completely reset your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes.

  • Visit a “Punch Card Machine” at any time to adjust your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. to your heart’s content, change your Perk Card selections, and save your new setup into a new slot.
    • Your characters will gain access to S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts starting at level 25.
    • Currently, each character can have up to two S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadout slots, and you can swap between them using a Punch Card Machine.
    • In addition, you can rename your Loadout slots, which will help you quickly tell them apart.
  • At level 25, you’ll learn the Plan to build a Punch Card Machine in your C.A.M.P. so that you can change up your Loadouts whenever you head home.
    • We’ve also placed Punch Card Machines at Train Stations throughout Appalachia, and you can use any you find in other players’ C.A.M.P.s, as well.
  • We’ve removed the “Move-a-Point” option on the level-up screen, since S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts allow you to change your stats much more easily.
  • Share your thoughts on S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts with us by visiting this thread in the PTS Forums.

C.A.M.P. Slots

Have you ever found the perfect spot to start building a new Appalachian home, but you just couldn’t bring yourself to tear down your old C.A.M.P.? That difficult decision is a thing of the past with CAMP Slots, which allow you to build and keep multiple C.A.M.P.s at once!

  • Each C.A.M.P. you construct is now saved as a C.A.M.P. Slot, which you can access and manage through the new “C.A.M.P. Slots” menu in the upper-left corner of the Map.
    • Currently, each of your characters will have access to two C.A.M.P. Slots: The C.A.M.P. you already have in-game, plus an additional Slot.
    • You can use the C.A.M.P. Slots menu to see all of your current C.A.M.P. Slots, rename them, and choose their Map icons.
  • You can only have one active C.A.M.P. at a time, and all others will be considered “stored.”
    • Your active C.A.M.P.’s map icon will appear yellow to you.
      • If you enable your active C.A.M.P.’s Public Map Icon, it will appear on the map in white to other players. When the Public Map Icon is disabled, only you will be able to see it.
      • Only you will be able to see the icons for your stored C.A.M.P.s.
    • To change which C.A.M.P. you’d like to use, head to the Map to click one of your C.A.M.P.s, or select it in the C.A.M.P. Slots menu, and then choose “Set as active C.A.M.P.”
    • Your stored C.A.M.P.s will not load into the world, show icons to other players on the Map, or produce resources from Resource Generators.
  • With the introduction of C.A.M.P. Slots, we’ve also made changes to the way Vending Machines and Display Cases work.
    • Your Vending Machines will have the same shared inventory across all of your C.A.M.P.s, so that you won’t need to reassign the items you’d like to sell every time you build a new C.A.M.P.
      • We’ve also merged all Vending Machine item slots into a single pool, which means you will now be able to sell the maximum number of items with just one Vending Machine.
      • Other types of vendors, like Refrigerators and Fermenters, now also share their inventories across your different C.A.M.P.s.
    • Your Display Cases, however, are not shared across C.A.M.P.s, which will give you the ability to show off different items at each of your homes.
  • While we were working to implement C.A.M.P. Slots, we also added the ability to build and use Display Cases and Vending Machines inside of your Shelters.
    • Vending Machines in Shelters will share the same slots and item assignments as those you’ve built in your C.A.M.P.s.
    • Display Cases you build inside Shelters will allow you to assign different items from any Displays you may have in your C.A.M.P.
  • Share your thoughts on C.A.M.P. Slots with us by visiting this thread in the PTS Forums.

Daily Ops Expansion

This update includes our first expansion for Daily Ops, which includes the new “Decryption” mode and nearly doubles the amount of content in the randomized pool of locations, enemies, and mutations.

  • New Mode: Decryption
    • In Decryption Mode, you’re on a mission to disable three Radio Interceptors for Vernon Dodge.
      • To do this, you’ll need to hunt for three enemy “Code Carriers,” and then take them down to get a special code you can use to disable a Radio Interceptor.
      • Enemy waves you face will become more difficult after each Interceptor you disable, until you’ve killed the Daily Op boss and pulled the plug on the final Interceptor.
  • New Mutations
    • Enemies in Decryption have a new default Mutation, called Savage Strike, which makes their attacks more deadly and causes them to ignore your armor resistances.
    • We’ve also added several new Mutations to the randomized pool that can apply to enemies in any Daily Ops mode:
      • Toxic: On death, enemies leave behind poisonous hazards.
      • Regenerating: Enemies emit an aura that heals other enemies in the area.
      • Swift: Enemies have increased movement speed.
  • New Enemy Types
    • We’ve added Scorched, Mothman Cultists, and Mole Miners to the pool of randomized enemy types you may encounter in any Daily Ops mode.
  • New Locations
    • Fight your way through Vault 96, Watoga Civic Center, and West Tek Research Center, all of which have been added to the randomized pool of locations for Daily Ops.
  • New Rewards
    • In this update for Daily Ops, we’re also adding a host of new rewards, including new Covert Scout Armor, which has some built-in stealthy utility. We’re also adding plans for the “Unstoppable Monster” and “Medical Malpractice” legendary weapons, and a variety of new plans for objects you can build in your C.A.M.P.
  • Share your thoughts on new Daily Ops content with us by visiting this thread in the PTS Forums.

Aim Assist

If you’re hopping into the PTS with a controller plugged into your PC, we’d love to hear what you think of the new “Aim Assist” option we’ve added to the game settings menu.

  • When enabled, this option will give your aim a bit of a boost to help your crosshairs snap to an enemy and stay on target when you’re aiming down a weapon’s sights.
    • Aim Assist can only be enabled when you’re playing Fallout 76 with a controller.
    • It offers no benefits in PvP situations. So if you enter a shootout with another player, you’re on your own.
  • Aim Assist works a little differently depending on the type of weapon you’re using.
    • For example, Pistols may snap to a target more effectively than other weapons, while Rifles will be able track moving targets a little better than others.

Crafting Sliders

Spend less time slaving away at your workbenches by crafting your items in bulk! From now on, when you’re crafting items, cooking up your next culinary masterpiece, or churning out another bandolier of ammunition, a new slider will appear that you can use to select how much of an item you’d like to make (as long as you have the materials, of course!)

World Activity Menu Updates

In addition to Daily Ops, the World Activity menu will now display nearby player vendors, active nuke zones, and even events, so that you can find and fast travel to them more easily.

New “Hunt for the Treasure Hunter” Rewards

We’ve added a variety of new “Hunt for the Treasure Hunter” rewards and enabled the event in the PTS so that you can take down a few Treasure Hunter Mole Miners and check out the new loot.

Thank you very much for your participation in the PTS, we’re looking forward to hearing what you think!
