Laser rifle
特徴 [ ] AER14は標準的なレーザーライフルと異なり、一発あたり二つのマイクロフュージョン・セル を消費する。また通常の赤色のレーザーの代わりにユニークな緑色のレーザーが採用されている。アイアンサイトが無く、通常のレーザーライフルで修理することは可能だがMODを装備したレーザーライフルでの修理は不可である。加えてAER14は標準的なAER9レーザーライフルよりも長身である。

入手場所 [ ] Vault 22 の共有スペースにある。地下5階の害虫駆除セクターへ行き、エレベーターを出る際に右側の階段へ入る。プレイヤーのレベルに応じて難易度の違うロックがある。AER14は焦げた遺骨の横に放置されている。またコンパニオンがそれを拾う可能性がある。武器が遺骨のそばにない場合、全てのコンパニオンのインベントリを確認する必要がある。
メモ [ ] Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System V.A.T.S. 使用時以外で、クリティカル率75%という脅威のクリティカル率を達成することができる。またComprehension を取得しトゥルー・ポリスストーリー AER14の側には弾薬タイプが違うにも関わらず、なぜかエナジーセル が散乱している。
ライフルのストックは三人称で確認するとガラスのようなものが見える。空を透かすためガラスのように見えるが、地面の近くでは二つの回路基板といくつかのワイヤーを覆うプラスチックカバーのようにも見える。
ライフルの持ち主はMFC でなくSEC を間違えて持っていたためにジャイアント・マンティス に殺された可能性がある。 舞台裏 [ ] "Focus: 1064 nm, 532 nm (SHG), 8.18pm!!!" と書かれた付箋が武器の裏面に確認できる。これはレーザーの光の波長を差し、1064 nm(赤外線)はレーザーの基本波長であり、532 nm(緑色)は第二次高調波である。SHGは第二次高調波の発生を表し、赤外線光(1064 nm)を緑色(532 nm、半波長1064 nm)に変換する、周波数変換プロセスである。8.18pmはやや曖昧だが、これはピコメートルを表していると考えられる。そう仮定すると、おそらくビームの拡散値が 8.18pm / m (pm / mよりはmRADが頻繁に使用されるが)と測定されるということであろう。これはビームが散逸して円錐状に広がる割合である。
