Vault 101 was so wasted in my opinion, we only get 4 quests that you HAD to do and 1 that you didn't.
Almost all the characters of 101 don't appear 3 times or more in the 5 quests that surround 101. The only people that do are: Amata, Butch, Stanley, Andy, Jonas, James and Wally, only 7!
Plus, we don't even get to know most of the people's characters since some are hostile (Officers in Escape). Even the officers that appear in Trouble on the Homefront have no dialogue, it's basically just:
What do you think of the rebels?
*Insert speech on how they suck*
What happened that night?
*Insert other speech that says it's all of the players dad's fault for almost the entirety of the vault dying despite the security killing all of them*
I need to go.
"Yes, you do."
It's the same for the residents and rebels as well, just that in the rebels case they don't blame your dad and say how they want to go outside.
Only Butch, Amata and the Overseer have unique dialogue questions (I'm not saying Andy and Stanley because they only get 1 new dialogue option) which is sad because Trouble on the homefront could've been where all the vault 101 residents would be able to be shown and you could get a look at their personality.
If they had let you stay in the vault if you chose Amata's ending maybe you could've had some side quests given by the residents, but instead we got stuck with Fallout 1 quote.
Also, maybe they could've given you 2 more main quests about the vault BEFORE Escape! so you could get to know them quicker and not just find out who Mrs Gomez was after 5 hours of gameplay.
Also why the hell does no one get rid of the dead body's that are around the vault in trouble on the homefront.
