I’m a simple man. I hear of a Fallout game, I learn every scrap of lore and gameplay knowledge there is of said installment. I am an avid connoisseur of all things Fallout, have played all mainline games (only games not played are Tactics and BOS), have spent hundreds of hours in games, and have spent over [REDACTED] in merchandise/DLC content.

Needless to say, I have essentially reached intelligence of this franchise rivaling almost that of the Storyteller (A moment of silence for the fallen wasteland legend). It has reached a point where years of living as a Diehard Fallout Fan has grown to a level of concern for my friends. As recently, they said quote “Is this a Fallout thing again? Because that’s the only thing you talk about half the time.”

This brings me to my point here. I am an avid Fallout lore consumer… who has played every Fallout DLC EXCEPT for Nuka-World and Far Harbor, the two most quintessential Fallout 4 DLCs. So what’s my point?

Well I haven’t finished it yet, but as it stands I am currently on the quest “The Grand Tour”, currently about to head to the first attraction. So this is a discussion thread for my new, but also experienced look as a Fallout fan into Nuka-World and later Far Harbor. Ask me anything. People who’ve played this before, give a fellow first-time wastelander some advice, maybe?

I’m playing Fallout 4 and just finished the All Hallows’ Eve quest first, but I haven’t done any other quests. Are there any I should do in a certain order?

Today, as I was hackin and whackin and walking to GNR, I walked by the super-duper mart and was treated to a plasma gun colored explosion in the air outside the parking lot. For those who don’t know, this is a sign the Firelance Alien Blaster (one of the best guns in game, hands down, also the rarest to find) has dropped as part of a random encounter. I throughly searched the parking lot for an hour in real time to never find it. With all hope drained, I headed to the nearby lake and drowned myself.

When I came to the encounter again, I was treated to a man who with a broken robot. I succeeded in a 6% success chance speech check for more money in order to fix it (im not kidding) and in true Butcher Pete fashion destroyed the robot, ripping out its innards because I am a psychopath, a true menace. He tells me to never touch any machine ever again, as I am so incompetent with them. I abide his request and will be starting a new poll soon because of such. Stay tuned.

Also, Bryan Wilks came up to me and I told him to fuck off because he was being annoying. I began to shoot at him, but then he said “Cool! Do that again!” and “Hey, can I try?”. My respect for him increased immeasurably. What a based child. I then mag dumped onto the surrounding ground to please the new child. We love Bryan.

ALRIGHT LISTEN, all you Pete Fans, I’m still doing this playthrough, but just haven’t gotten back to Fallout 3 yet because my lord Todd Howard has been sucking out my soul for the Milepost Zero Fallout 76 update.

However, to remove this extra unnecessary burden, I’m removing the rule about karma, otherwise I’d be fucking broke by the time I’m done with the game trying to donate to Saint Monica and the Atom Children mfs.

So here’s an update on everyone’s favorite Butcher Pete. Everything was going perfectly according to plan actually! Left the Vault, turned on GNR asap, and headed for Megaton. I donated all my water for good karma to the guy outside the city. Lord knows I’d need the boost.

I headed on inside, started talking to Lucas Simms, and then… IT happened.

God, my luck stat really is 1. I can’t even finish the first conversation with Lucas before GNR decides to punish me. Never in my life have I been more mortified to hear “HEY EVERYBODY DID THE NEWS GET AROUND ABOUT A GUY NAMED BUTCHER PETE? OL PETE JUST BLEW INTO THIS TOWN AND HES CHOPPIN UP ALLLL THE WOMENS MEAT!”

Perfectly timed and yet horribly timed. The song was right. Old Pete had in fact just blew into town. And he immediately ended the conversation, saw Jenny Stahl outside by the noodle stand, and went to town.

After all was said and done, my karma plummeted to Very Evil. And, well…

I realize most of you didn’t want me to actually post the build here for others to try, however, it’s of the utmost importance yall know what I’m getting myself into. Also I’ll probably post updates on the build as I progress.

Going off the lyrics, my tags skills are: Science, Melee Weapons, and Unarmed (Because the lyrics state my man is and I quote “Hackin and whackin and smackin”, respectively. Some of you will say that that’s not what he meant by “hackin” but this is my build and idgaf.

Additionally there are essential gameplay element rules to go by at all times.

Rule 1: Lady Killer and Bloody Mess are essential perks more than anything and must be immediately taken upon reaching lvl 2 and 6 respectively. No other perk can be chosen at those times.

Rule 2: Galaxy News Radio must ALWAYS be turned at all times the entire game. You take it off even once after finding the signal outside Vault 101 and turning it on and you immediately lose the challenge and must restart. This includes if you walk out of signal range before the quest to fix the relay. Therefore it is recommended to complete the quest ASAP.

Rule 3: Neutral Karma must be maintained at all times. However if you go too low, or too high, you don’t have to restart, but you do have to set it back to neutral in one way or another as soon as you can. This wouldn’t be too bad if it wasn’t for the final rule.

FINAL RULE (Oh and this is the real fun one): IF AT ANY POINT IN TIME while I’m playing the game, and Butcher Pete starts playing on the radio, then I have to drop everything I’m doing, and pull out a bladed weapon (bladed weapons ONLY for this) and immediately start a systemic rampage as I must murder every single female human or non feral ghoul in sight. Are they non hostile? Doesn’t matter. Are they surrounded by an entire town of well armed guards? Doesn’t matter. Will I fail a quest by killing a certain female character? Doesn’t matter. THE ONLY EXCEPTION to this rule is if a female character is marked as essential. Men who attack me in retaliation are optional kills.
