UHhh.. ok. Had to test it myself : yes, u can still xfer the armor after you apply the paint. so it's like the blood eagle AGL paint. that's both good & bad.
Tested with BOS IV Knight Captain paint.

I mean.. right now Dynamo is not really an alternative. if tesla capacitor superceeds the dynamo in all ways, +125 extra ammo capacity over the capacitor is nothing : it's shit.
They should reconsider effects of the tesla dynamo.
And i just checked again, capacitor has better AP Cost as well. Dynamo is truly shit. The reel design looks cool though.

Got this minor dilemma with gauss miniguns. On my main i always carry 2 gauss miniguns. minigun1 has been primed (U2mm EC), minigun2 on tesla coil (2mm EC). both have same barrel. i might have to change the second one from tesla capacitor to dynamo, cos from the main screen i can't identify which gauss i am on with a glance. of course i can always pip-boy to check, but if they weren't identical i wouldn't need to.
Besides, if you think about it, both Capacitor and Dynamo are Tesla Coils, they should both look like that reel right? When they introduced prime capacitor, should have changed the tesla capacitor to look like the dynamo. so when you see a square capacitor, you know it is Prime.
But Ok i can't wait, so let's say i have to use the dynamo, minigun2 is for the explosive effect. According to a youtube video, the energy dmg portion from tesla coils get carried over to the explosive portion of gauss minigun damage. in terms of energy dmg, i noticed dynamo's is like half of capacitor's (slightly over half), but these energy dmg numbers are still very small, whether you have 9 heavy guns + 3 bloody mess... it's like 5:9 or 7:12 or something. but i'm not sure how this relates to in real field damage. So do you think using Dynamo instead of Tesla Capacitor would significantly affect the gun's explosive dmg?
Ammo capacity increase is not a concern at all in this discussion, as minigun2 is a Quad. so that's like 2,125 capacitor vs 2,250 dynamo.
Btw lol, so bad the stat design in this game... dynamo actually adds more cost than capacitor under value!

Hi, i seldom use rifles. When i do (for purpose of this topic let's say fixer), i automatic fire (always) usually in VATS but sometimes also hip-fire, in any case i rarely take a shot from Aimed Mode (shooting while holding down right click). i really hate Reflex Sight on rifles, don't care if t reduces AP in VATS. i want some form of magnification, not when shooting, but so i don't have to switch to pearly peepers or binoculars. since i don't take the shot from the scope screen, i would think Recon is better than NV for me, at least it adds the tracking diamond.

Short Recon vs. Long Recon : As per wiki, it appears that short recon scope adjusts AP Cost + 20% AP, while adding less accuracy and magnification bonus than long recon, so what is the situation when you would choose Short Recon over Long Recon?
Entry in wiki doesn't say Long Recon adds any penalty to AP Cost. Was this left out or is this correct.
My rifle has a Short Barrel. Must my gun use a matching short scope, is using a long recon scope viable. Pls. consider, like i said, i rarely take aimed shots/shot from scope screen.

Read this below, some guy posted 5 months ago. i just got my CAMP permanently [BLOCKED] last week. most specifics are exactly the same, improbable as coincidence.
Some people are lucky, they can get back in the first camp and rectify the issue, for others (like me and this guy), moment you stack multiple corn on more or less the same spot and then log off, it could the LAST TIME YOU EVER SEE YOUR CAMP.

There are several other reports over the net, about this, stacking corn. seems to have popped up not too long ago. this guy was five months ago ( about July 2021), so this seems to be a present and new problem, perhaps with one of the latest updates??
Exactly the same as this guy, the only change i did to my camp before i logged in was this. You remember last week? We got challenge plant 5 crops in your camp. I hate farming (crops)... I never plant crops otherwise, so i just spammed 5 corn on top of each other. this and four or five times in the past, i think i got maybe 20+ on more or less the same spot. should have removed them, but i did not.
I'm not moving to a new spot, i'll wait and see if bethesda does anything about this.

There's no issue with the location- there's an ore mine there, so it was made for players. i have also build there more than once. i play 12-16 hours per day every day since i started and i relog many characters in one day many times to mule stuff, so you can say i have logged in at that camp few hundred/thousand times i don't know. Since every time you log in, the system checks if ur camp can be placed, and since i got the green light few thousand times already, if this is a location issue i would have experienced it/known about it much sooner. furthermore i told you i moved camp before, but around the region, very close to my current one, means i already tested placing camp in that vicinity. it's just flat ground, no rocks etc. anyway this is moot, there's no way this present incident is number 1 out of 2,500 log-ins. i don't modify my camp much. Also it is moot because others can build there.
Ps. It's not a location/terrain problem at all, now i am confident to say this, because i just noted that the Block message comes up before the system has any chance to load or crosscheck anything on the server or my PC. Hover your mouse over your present camp at the top left corner of the map window. drag down, select your other camp. The moment you click on activate, a pre-loaded message IMMEDIATELY centers on the screen : Cannot place your camp. Would you like to pack up your camp? Yes. No.
It's the camp activation system man, it's like stuck forever in a loophole, because of the initial incident when i could not place it on that public server. when i used the word pre-loaded, i meant, once i'm in the game, i cannot switch to camp 1, and 'pre-loaded' meaning IT'S LIKE the system ALREADY DECIDED my camp status would be as such - Camp1 : Blocked WITHOUT CHECKING THE PRESENT STATUS OF CAMP1, ie.> is location of camp1 intersecting with anything on THIS present server? it doesn't do this anymore. the message just comes up near-instantaneous.

My subsequent failure to activate Camp1 and deactivating Camp2 - No of course no one was there. in making sure, i tested after logging in many many different worlds.
There's nothing wrong with that location, i have been logging in every day and occupying that spot for months, it's just flat land. i placed my BOS armory there. occasionally when i log in, that spot is occupied by someone else, but before the present incident i always chose 'No' and relogged, until i get a world where this camp could be placed.
After a year, I just ended my 1st subscription start of this month, so no longer have access to it. I'll try like you suggested joining someone on my list that's visiting private and set to 'Friend' visit.

Sequence of events/actions like this :-
i logged on, msg says camp 1 could not be placed, would you like to pack your camp etc. something like that. i selected 'No', so i entered the world with no camp.
but i did not relog, instead i stayed on that world, and activated camp2. which means the phantom of camp1 (which could not be placed anyway) got 'deactivated'. now the system thinks i'm still in that situation, whichever world i'm in, however many worlds i log into (no obstructing structure/player camp/tent/etc.) and won't let me re-activate it.
Just so you know, i didn't even lay a single piece of foundation, i basically used a prefab ONLY. BOS armory.
When i hover over the darkened (inactive) icon on the map, top left-hand corner of the world map says Camp 1 [Blocked].
The guy who imposed all world/camp restrictions in this game must be a bit sick in the head. You know this is a game right? Half the structural laws need not even be implemented, all you did was befuddle the entire camp system. Like eg. wires? why the F would you need to make it a tangible/real world object? CAMP system could just show wires WHILE INSIDE BUILD MODE, for the builder to know what is connected to what. after we exit Build Mode, make it intangible and invisible. why not? in real life there's so many ways to hang a wire, like with a piece of gum, or strip of duct tape. obviously the system in fo76 cannot incorporate so many real world methods, so why impose our present restrictions at all. you are just selecting a number of rules from a full set, implementing those you choose (and with bad judgment) at random. no wonder CAMP system is so frankenstein
No i don't have any blueprint. i stopped using them after i realized they are completely useless, like what you were facing. blueprint only good for that exact instance when you placed the camp at exact those coordinates or something.
This is a very basic error, you can always log into a world where someone else's camp is occupying that spot. but i went on played on that world and activated my OTHER camp. now whichever world i log into, i cannot REACTIVATE my first camp. it's like the system is locked to think that something is still occupying that spot, but in actual fact, nothing is there because i'm in a different world! that's bullshit man! how could they not anticipate this??????

I select 'No', then activated my other CAMP. After i was done with whatever I was doing, i logged out.
Problem : Now in whichever public world i log in, i CANNOT REACTIVATE my first CAMP. Have tried five different worlds which five different friends were currently on. It always says my camp cannot be placed, would you like to... selecting 'No' brings up the brief system notification 'intersects with existing object'. Bullshit, it intersects with nothing. i have this camp laid down for months, it's not hanging over anything, it's on flat ground. currently checked this on five different worlds, nothing was blocking, and i cannot activate the CAMP.
Anyone know if there is a workaround? Moving my CAMP AGAIN is completely out of the question, this is not the first time. Have experienced one problem or another forcing me to pack up multiple camps many many times. i am OCD extremely fussy sometimes it takes me 1-2 weeks to place a camp down and arrange every straight-edged object to be exactly perpendicular or parallel to each other, to the nearest visible pixel. it's too much trouble to do again now.
Need a workaround.
Why do you sell a game when it has this sort of game breaking issue. this is why people keep complaining this shit is still in beta phase, and no one gives a FF C VK about fixing anything substantial.

The problem is because they got rid of that 'over 50 move point around' feature - it no longer exists... but for some reason, to a new player searching for answers, the internet is still full of info on this redundant feature, not easily made clear to new players that it has been abolished. i also posted same question as you did on some forum (not sure if it is this one) when i first started.
Just follow what Hexonith and the others are saying, once u hit 25 (not 50), you have access to this machine called the Punch Card Machine- it is available at any station. It's free and you can use it at any time and you can use it any number of times.
