Jesus christ, I'll take that as a "no" then. No this site is not LGBTQ friendly, I reported a user's multiple transphobic posts each time they occured and saw no immediate action taken at the time. Nor indeed have I seen any substantive long term term action taken and the moderators outright refuse to take any as far as I can tell.

Without naming the user in question, I talked about this experience and why I believe it's not acceptable conduct either on the part of the user or the moderators. I apparently failed to display the proper decorum in responding to outright bigotry and a micro-systematic failure to address it and subsequently my comment was deleted and I got a warning from the moderators.

So no, not LGBTQ friendly. The pride bottle cap is a perfect encapsulation of this site's supposed support for LGBTQ people: it's all cap. Goodbye.

My point is that there's a lot of misinformation and outright lies, that's not acceptable. It's ironically the strict revulsion with the practice of organ extraction in any context that causes problems with organ theft as it does and has in any culture.

As long as they avoid "stunt casting" and actually hire talented voice actors who also happen to be live actors- yeah it's great. Matthew Perry was about as close as they've gotten to stunt casting and there are some weak spots to his performance, but overall he delivers an iconic and memorable performance.

Whilst the treatment of Uyghurs in China is unacceptable, I'm seeing a lot of outright lies about the situation. Projecting America's genocide of indigenous people onto China doesn't work on a shit ton of levels- mostly because they're not doing anything anywhere near that bad.

The fact is that China's treatment of Uyghurs isn't that different from the US's southern border policy under Trump (which hasn't changed much under Biden) including things like child separation; something that can be argued to be genocide but isn't the same as the kidnap and indoctrination of indigenous children.

Organ theft is obviously illegal everywhere in the world that laws can be enforced. It's funny seeing people being like "I don't hate Chinese people I just hate China" then accusing them of stealing organs and shit, you guys make me laugh.

It's a bit of a slow burner, there's nothing about the gameplay that particularly jumps out, besides the fact that it hasn't aged so gracefully these last 12 going on 13 years - but the story and writing overall more than makes up for that. There might be games that excel in areas where New Vegas either is no longer or never was on par, but I honestly can't think of a setting that I've been immersed in as thoroughly as the Mojave wasteland.

I guess if I was to sum up the strength of New Vegas in as few words as possible I'd simply say "world building" and leave it at that.

I believe there's a festival held in Texas called south by south-west, that does kind of work in both the geographic and cultural sense. The "Lone Star State" tends to pride itself on eluding classification in that regard.

If you're from Texas I'll take your word on it until the next person I talk to from Texas tells me it's actually the south-west and then I'll take their word on it I guess.
