Probably the the paranoia and mysterious entity vibes. Are they human? Demons? Angels purging humanity? Saw a lot of YouTubers talking about it and that creates a lot of hype before the game came out to play.
Maybe a couple doubt the navy would be spared from a strike but then again it's up in the air of what can be added for content. But then again Rivet City is straight up a U.S naval ship.
I didn't hear about it but then again I have been doing Resident Evil for quite a while so Bethesda related stuff have been off my radar since Oblivion remastered
^^^Ironically thats what made them better for me. Power Armor.
Hadn't touched NV is a while but I recall what I did. I have a very simple tip and that is to just walk. Don't fast travel. Every bit of exp is great for progress in the skills and random encounters and scripted alike. I racked in a lot of money mass selling the random stuff I had and because I kept selling my weight was manageable.
Free Bird as I launch every grenade in my inventory into the Marked Men at the end of the DLC
It does feel that way at time in some areas. Most lore entries might be with recent events or group that has taken residents in the location usually. Like raider groups or stories revolving the current situation.
They all kind of special like is one aspect if maybe two with some major drawbacks. I would go with Minutemen because it is the most obvious but also least problematic.
Minutemen are very idealistic but they are not a standing army nor do they have expertise in areas beyond just being a local militia. At most they could handle raiders, and maybe mutants. But in the end they would just be farmers, fishermen, repairman and maybe some techie and engineers among them. But likely are the most ethically of the groups that has the most promise but risk of repeating what happened with the Gunners.
Railroad is more of a counter too the Institute and have less use beyond that. Infiltration or espionage. Nothing too do with the Commonwealth being better. If they did operations against the raiders who enslave and also investigate kidnapping I can see it being better. But they are focused more on the Institute and we can only speculate what they would do. But currently they have no intention on improving the lives of everyone because they are primarily against the Institute. They likely could dismantle Raider groups easily from the inside with spies and free slaves from them. But speculation isn't enough.
BoS does not have the Commonwealth safety in mind. The BoS we see in the Commonwealth is a paramilitary group with a personal agenda against the Institute and has shown too demonstrate both xenophobic, isolationist, and obsession with technology superiority and dominance with hypocrisy in there own actions, and subtle hints to genetic purity. Makes them unapproachable, and similar to paramilitary groups who overthrow local governments and becoming a military state.
Insitute is a heavy science strong faction who have even more extreme isolationist than the BoS, with habits of genocidal like tendency like wiping our communities and referring the people on the surface has below them and seek the literally replace them by force. They want to wipe out the Commonwealth and make something else in place of it.
I doubt there waves of slave soldiers can do enough. The NCR felt like they could make more munitions, vehicles, and artillery. The Legion barely feels like they understand how disinfecting a wound is not chems unless it is stated by a higher authority.
The karma system is very approachable but also very "gamie" with how most are portrayed. Although in Fallout's case I liked checking and seeing how scummy I am although it is simply left or right or middle. I actually liked Metro way of doing it although even I can see it being to gamie. Like in both Metro and Dishonored your actions directly in-game responding and does change the players playstyle. I like fighting 6 soldiers in Dishonored but that does increase my chaos level. Because it effects the ending but it is more narrative reason why. Corvo and Artyom both have narrative reasons for there karma as for how the player is making the character behave.
I can't say a karma system I am for or against but depending how it is done it can go either way. But I would say my neutral ground is game responses too me being good or bad either way and less of it being objective.
Behavior like me intimidating for more money, killing surrendering enemies for fun, lying lot for selfish gain. Versus intimidating to force someone to leave someone elses property to protect someone, killing surrendering enemies to spare them from a worse fate as prisoners, lying to Others to protect there feelings or give them hope in an already hopeless world. Nothing objective essentially.
I have yet to commit to molding new vegas and idk why
I assume we would get "usual" ranks like enlisted, private, corporal, sergeant, Captain, major, colonel, and general, none of the in between like Private first class, major sergeant, Lance corporal, etc. Just because the Minutemen as they were/are is not a standing army so keeping ranks might be a waste of time and also experience for luxury of a military ranking system might be asking to much. The BoS I would expect something like that but the Minutemen at best might be enlisted, sergeant/corporal, Captain, major and colonel and general.
Considering how Garvey presents handles himself I would assume he is above others by just experience but he doesn't present much of a commanding aura to me. But if I would take a guess what rank he would be if he was given one maybe corporal or sergeant.
I still don't know how(kinda of lying) I got Messiah Legion ending where yeah I managed to do it. Didn't find it hard because I simply played the game instead of grinding an objective. I have intended on doing a Devil NCR ending but I never got around to it.
^also says history
Never played the second KOTOR game too know sadly
Sounds like Ghouls, humans, or supermutants are basically racial traits no different than dnd or a lot of fantasy games. Are they op? Maybe, depending on which iteration and story being told. Being immune too radiation is very helpful until you find out your intelligence is lowered massively too the point making food or munitions takes triples costs, and trade or bartering is completely removed from humans/Ghouls, weapons not made for supermutants in mind are now useless, and also being a bigger target for AI enemies too shoot at.
Tbh idk why I don't like Dead Money. Maybe it is because the way you play in that dlc feels very restrictive when compared too the rest of the game and dlcs. I love the story but the game just doesn't work with me in dead money.
"Let them come" Dwarf
Since I am not religious the second death cult sounds no different too me than another denomination of Christianity. The Cipher cult I guess would do everything they can to draw out the weirdmegedon(if that's how it is spelled) which involves other worldly torment and fun for being who find amusement in the suffering of others. The Unitarian are a bunch of mass suicide and killers who seek to rack up bodies for the Marker which is essentially mind control in a lot of cases. Idk if there is a defined method to reject the markers(i.e lead skull implant?). The Children of Atom as much as I don't like the idea of bathing or drinking in radiation seem to vary from violent to isolationists who seek see the world bathed in more of atoms bath water. But since I am throwing my morals out the window I guess Unitarian? Depends on my goal I guess.
I didn't even realize the Soviet union had still existed till 2013 in Metro. Granted I never read the books and I have replayed the metro games overall combined 10 times
