I asked if he meant politically, I abhor politics.
Gameplay wise makes sense though. But, I kinda liked having a specialized build that moves faster than others in these older Bethesda games. My nv sneakers can move as fast crouched as new characters can run, which is a bunch of fun. I guess I always found it modern enough. You can zoom in and that’s my main gripe with 3. If new Vegas felt like a modern call of duty, it wouldn’t feel right to me, I like how that and 3 and oblivion games like that feel old. Gives me more appreciation for what they are
PaddlingPaladin how has new Vegas not aged well? It was pretty progressive at the time, no one anywhere in the game seems to give a damn about sexual orientation, save for the dude that wants you to find fisto is super embarrassed about it. Do you mean politically or something? I’m curious.
You write a lot, I read most of it. Sounds like you just want to overdesign it. It might make sense to you but having it the way it is sure seems easier. I also would not want to go to one page for radroach history, and 7 separate ones for stats in different games. It makes waaaaaaaay more sense to have one main page with several sections. Besides, if you’re playing a game with a number in the title, basic, and I mean very basic logic, would dictate that you should search for that specific game. I mean, I don’t play the Pokemon games but I know there’s a million different ones. I’d be a fool not to search for pikachu diamond if I’m playing diamond or whatever the hell. Maybe I’m an ass, maybe I’m smarter than average(I’m definitely not, trust me), but it makes PERFECT sense to me the way it is currently formatted.
In new Vegas the trade system is busted. Get two identical expensive weapons, break one. Sell both, buy back. You buy the broken one for zero caps and get the pristine one instead. I don’t think this worked in fallout 3. Fallout 4 just kinda throws caps at you, but selling stuff you don’t need is always a fair bet, or making things and selling them. 76, currently I think it’s to equip cap collector and have high luck. I often get more caps from looting enemies in an event than the event gives you, and I mean double or triple a 200 cap reward sometimes. Or, sell stuff in your vendor but that takes research and luck.
They’ve done the mutant takeover three times now, chronologically starting with Appalachia, then the master in Cali, then the tactics game had something to do with mutants trying to take the central wastes, but I think that’s more of a “minor” threat. BBG was the calculator
We might get a little somethin somethin from season 2 of the show. Mutants are definitely coming, they can’t help but shoehorn them and the brotherhood into everything. Deathclaws are as iconic to the ip as power armor and super mutants. We saw a deathclaw skull in the season finale, in the credits. For better or worse, the show is the latest timeline and it IS canon.
76 but that’s really just the more modern graphics. I could say it’s lush but the ash heap sure as hell isn’t. I like the general feeling of the mojave best, but 76 simply has the most modern graphics. I guess 4 would be tied with it
No.
For me it’s a bit nostalgia and a lot more general ambience. From the soundtrack in the radio to the ambient sounds that exist in the world with the radio off, the sound puts me there, and makes me feel some type of way. I also like the npcs better than in the east coast games. The fiends are more interesting than raiders, and the larping Romans are a blast to put down. I think the NCR is a really cool faction and like having them around. The strip complements the music on the radio, and that’s its own section of cool. Each casino is interesting in its own way. The desert and tribal feeling is more appealing to me than rushing through the cities of Boston or dc, West Virginia actually almost hits this point though. The enemies feel like more of a threat. Deathclaws are always terrifying unless I’ve got plenty of distance, and even then the heart pounds until they drop. Just existing in the game world is an interesting experience, and yes that’s a lot to do with the writing, but everything else(for me) is there too. To me, New Vegas is just a comfort zone. But my final -and possibly most important- point is that patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
It has too much cut content
He’s only ever turned on me for straight up murdering NCR in front of him
You didn’t tag a game, what are you talking about friend?
It’s nice to have a “raid” that’s not daily ops. Other than that, the auto axe seems to be broken right now
I felt the same way, but it’s worth it. Plus, yeah they’re gone, you’re helping yourself
Isn’t there a page with this info?
I’d like to see somewhere with snow. Not like jacobstown in NV either, snow like the central s gets in January. I’m talkin Red Dead Redemption 2 physics.
This could even be in Florida mind you. What if they did do Florida and tricked everyone by making it a dry desert?
I’d like to see more places drastically changed by the war, and not just blown up like the glowing sea. Snow in Florida, that’s what I mean
Why the echo? Is everyone copying paddling paladin up there?
Lyons brotherhood is the only one that’s likeable. I didn’t steel reign and liked the girl in that first part, but Lyons was so far the only one that tried to help people, not just themselves. Humans have issues so they do too, but little 20 year old maxon boy in 4 gets a bullet from me every time
Road warrior it sounds like you just want a mod that adds the companion quest line to fallout 4😂
Cryptids are somewhat likely I think, due to their popularity. Those things are friggin cool, and they’re scary af the first few times you see them. Some more than others..
Cryptids would also be mostly unique right? I mean by definition? Might see overlap in one game or another, but I wouldn’t mind if they kept shoehorning cryptids in. Less than I mind the brotherhood being everywhere always
On Xbox at least, it’s really not that bad. I can’t even count “it’s buggy” as something bad about it because it was a rush job. Bethesda games are buggy, and they made someone create a game using their buggy engine and didn’t give them proper time to finish it. So it crashes every other hour or so, I have a much bigger problem with it just straight up not finishing quests. Kill the deathclaw. All 8 are dead, says 8/8. Wtf game? It’s crap like that that gets me. Again, rush job. Not a big deal, unless it’s your first time playing I guess🤷🏻♂️
The only one you can’t bring your own gear with you to is dead money. Don’t worry about what you have on you in that abandoned bunker, just dive in.
That said, pro tip; anything flagged in your inventory as quest will be kept. For example if you have the rebreather but the plane is still at the bottom of lake mead, you would keep that rebreather.
