I keep seeing where people use a bug to get all the gold at the end of Dead Money. I only played through that DLC once so my memory is a little foggy on it, but doesn’t that kinda defeat the point of the DLC’s moral dilemma it sticks you in? What are y’all’s thoughts?

Well that’s how you build an immunity, your body has to learn how to fight the disease. Modern vaccines work by introducing a controllable amount of a disease into the body.
^Well maybe I should have worded that better. You can’t build an immunity to radiation, you would have to develop a mutation in the genes to be able to resist it. Obviously a pre-war human or a vaulted one would be extremely vulnerable to radiation, the humans that survive the blasts could possibly be subject to a micro mutation, under very precise circumstances. I know there were studies made on the wildlife in Chernobyl that proved they can mutate, but it’s always the offspring. This kind of stays consistent throughout the Fallout world, but the difference is that vault dwellers tend to survive just as easily if not easier than ‘mutated’ humans.

I did some research and apparently, though you can’t gain an immunity, my theory of gene adaptation is actually a thing and both humans and animals can achieve higher resistance through micro-mutations via radiation in low doses, but it’s only been done in labs and never in a wild environment.

As it’s already been stated, yeah, vaults and things like that would have some means to protect themselves from disease. As the author also put it however, yea the Fallout games are incredible unrealistic when it comes to how disease and even at times, radiation, works. Not completely, but especially when we get into mutants and stuff. Vault dwellers may be perfect human specimens, but it would be a disadvantage in the wasteland. You would definitely have to use EXTREME caution and protection and gradually introduce yourself to small doses of things like radiation in order to build an immune system.
As someone who spent 8 years living in Paris, I would love to see that teased😂 I spent a considerable amount of time writing a New Texaco game, I originally planned to make a mod but with college and work and now career changes, I just think it’s become more of a novel now. But I think I still have some articles pinned in my bio. Personally I’d like to see it in Houston, with the space center and everything being controlled by a more Western-style BoS.
Love the explanation! Like I said, even though I’ve beat NV and most of its DLC a ton of times, I have only got around to beating Dead Money once, so I don’t remember a lot of the reason the gold is such a big deal.
Lol yeah that’s kinda the way I perceived it. I always say it as proof that our greed as humans is always going to get in the way. And the fact that we found a way to cheat it just kinda reinforces it😆
Sunny, Marcus, and Victor all would have been cool as companions. Ulysses was intended to be one but I’m much more a fan of the route it went instead. Besides there can only be one courier six
Personally I would be content with either 3 or NV, even though NV is my favorite, I think in this case I would choose 3.
I’m sure it has, but honestly it’s been so much more of a blessing to me. We’re going to tribes in the Mountains in Honduras that are completely untouched. Villages made out of tin and mud, and just being able to bless these people does something to you that I think everyone needs to experience. I’m getting ready to go to Mongolia in the summer, and I don’t know when or if I’ll be leaving 😂
Here’s a short story of my year and also why I haven’t been around much lately.
I started Bible School and it’s been an awesome semester, learned a lot and got to help out a lot of people, which is great because I’m Fallout I’m almost always the kind of guy who will give you the shirt off his back. I’m an INFJ personality type and I just like helping people in need, it almost always works out better for you when you sacrifice something for others. It was a hard year, but towards the middle half things really started to look up. I was getting promotions at works, management offers, even doors for school were opening. But I was missing something so, being a Christian, I said, “Hey, I’m gonna go to Bible school for a year and just try to figure out what I want to do.” Then as it went on we started taking missions trips, helping poor people, drug addicts in rehab, all kinds of things. And I realized through that, something great happens when you help someone else. I mean, really help someone else to the point where it looks like it’s going to hurt you. When you really FEEL the sacrifice. It brings such an amazing feeling inside of you.
That’s the greatest thing I learned this past year. In Fallout, you never really have to sacrifice helping others, but that’s where it started for me. I liked seeing the characters I helped get up and move on. Doing that in real life has been the greatest factor of my year, and honestly my life.
I usually didn’t but the BoS does anyway if I’m not mistaken
I’ve done the first three options at least once, but number one is what I usually do.
I mean let’s just be honest WE eat and drink things we know are killing us😂 but like it’s already been said, it never really had a chance to become popular
Probably the BoS. But like it’s already been stated they have had so much time to develop. Other than them, I would really like to say the Minutemen, I like hearing about them dying out and stuff.
For a minor faction, I think the Children of Atom. But I agree with @Dyre Wolf Cub , I really liked the depth that went into the Raiders around the Commonwealth. Really wish you could have done more with them as a bad character but oh well.

Gameplay, yes. Every other thing that makes a Fallout game fallout, no.
Fallout 4 is a GREAT game. But it’s a mediocre Fallout game at best.
A lot of stuff was added or changed in 4 for the better. Power armor and settlements, as well as weapon customization and gunplay, are awesome. But dialogue, story, role play, and depth as far as characters go is pretty lack luster over all.
