They've already improved these events multiple times, and "improving" them more won't really do anything. I think they should give us a new campaign questline for end game players because these mini questlines are cool until they end abruptly after 5 quests. Adding more questlines to existing factions would be better than constantly adding new factions we interact with once or twice. Steel Reign was awesome, the Gold Rush was good, if we got something as big as that for a few updates that would add enough endgame stuff for awhile. Also letting us fight questline bosses again, that would be good.
If you can finish Colossal Problem because Earle didn't fall through the map, I guess they did change things.
Fuck the whole thing, they're trying to drag out play time instead of just adding in these basic, generic F2P gameplay features and letting us play. They update the game and the thing I was doing FOR FUN before is now a DAILY CHORE and I want nothing to do with the game. I do not miss it, level 700+, 1500+ hrs, uninstalled after Season 8 of the Scoreboard, the first Rip Danger one whatever it was. I've lost all faith since they started unpatching camp building so we can do what we could 3 years ago, and selling it as a new update with new features, and it's still not as good as it was 3 years ago. The YouTubers saying "I'm not sure if this is intentional" when an item is obviously buggy to dysfunction should be a sign, been like this for years. 76 is a special community.
They failed player retention beyond the fact it's a Fallout MMO-Lite. You want me to keep coming back, make it so I can keep coming back. Everything is micro-managed, I can't go on a 36 hour bender with this game, I've tried it's just not fun. Step one, remove currency limits and I will never turn the game off (if all they care about is play time). This is an infinite looter build making game, I just want to make my builds. Telling me I'm done after 2 fucking hours of playing (revving up to grind) is telling me to go play a different game, and I might as well not play this one if all I get is 2 hours of daily chores and it takes a month of this shit to get anything with gold bullion. I HATE this game, and I do not like that I hate it so much. I loved this game for awhile, but once you reach the endgame it's just over until the yearly update adds 15 min of content, which is another horde rush you've done before. Bring back Vault Raids, oh wait then it won't take a month to get the rewards with gold bullion.
If I have to pay for the PS5 upgrade they can absolutely shove it.
That's gonna take a very long time at the pace we're going. I think it'll be enough.

The Todd Howard and Quentin Tarantino comparison is one I didn't think of but it clicks. I always thought of him as the evil cousin of Gabe Newell. Then again, "it just works" has become my motto because it just works.
After the first couple generations it becomes "this is what life has always been" and no one really questions the practices. After 9 generations there's barely a remnant of the old ways left, if at all. Maybe a few people have personally reached objections or are told by outsiders that it's wrong, but overall the consensus is reached. You can see this in the real world, today, easily, with the contrast between pre-2020 and current 2025 (almost 2026). I wouldn't want to delve further into it than the fact all the old people are dying/culled, and the young people don't even know they have human rights half the time.

Adding a pip-boy map would be great. It's a titular Fallout feature that's missing from the game. The tourist map is okay for me but I like the seamless nature of the pip-boy's map, plus it would give us interior maps and that solves my pet peeves as well.
I like how this is how I play 76 and I never considered it "drunk driving".
