Yeah, there should still be a free option. I think you need to press a certain button or have the materials to do that though.
SS predates Nuka Cola. NC actually had to struggle against the vastly more popular SS. People did like it, it was just much more popular in the west, whereas Cola utterly dominated in the East.
^^I believe it should work regardless of whether you’re in the game or not, but I could be wrong.
Go to “load game” and look at the buttons. One of them will allow you to choose which character you’re loading.

Fallout 3, NV, 4, and 76 are ARPG games with a lot of shooter-game similarities. So, both.
